Compress never grows a file
It tries more than one way and keeps the smallest. If nothing helps, you get your original back.

Edit adds; it doesn't rewrite
Text, highlights and boxes go on top of the page. The words already in the PDF stay as they are.

Some jobs redraw pages
Unlock and Flatten — and Compress, when that's smallest — save pages as pictures, so their text can't be selected.

Sign is a stamp
It places a typed signature on the last page. To place fields and have people sign them, use FySign.

Redact finds patterns
Emails, phone numbers, US SSNs and card numbers. Drawing your own boxes to redact isn't in the studio yet.

Word to PDF reads .docx
It sets the document out again in your browser; complex layouts can come out simpler than in Word.

Is it really free?
The twenty browser tools are: no account, no daily limit, no watermark added. The eight cloud tools are part of Cloud Pro.
Are my files uploaded?
Not for the browser tools — your file stays on your machine. The cloud tools upload it to do the work, after you sign in.
Is there a file size limit?
Not for browser jobs; your browser's memory is the limit. Cloud jobs take files up to 100 MB each.
Can I run several jobs on one file?
Yes. After a browser job, "Continue with" passes the result straight to the next one.
What does Cloud Pro add?
The eight server jobs — OCR, PDF to Word and Excel, protect, sign, redact, PDF/A, repair — with 100 runs a month, and results in FyDrive.
